Also gathered from my Lost Hero reread;  Annabeth can be a jerk!  

Not in a bad way!  She knows how to get what she wants, and refuses even a hint of disrespect.  I find that very admirable, and I will stand by my opinion that she’s a fantastic role model to readers everywhere.  

And maybe it was just that Percy’s been missing, she hasn’t slept, and she’s worried sick- but she absolutely blows up at Jason, Leo, and Piper when she first meets them.  I found it really funny, considering her current friendship with Piper.  I’d forgotten how mad Piper got at Annabeth, for calling her a half-blood and acting mean.  Jason initially refused to get on her chariot.  And Leo thought she was totally malicious.  

They’re all the best of friends now, but it’s always cool to see the beginnings.  Annabeth has a strong personality, and if you spite her, she will probably kill you.  

I really recommend you go back and read some of the earlier books if you have time.  It reminds you of things you’d forgotten, and will get you in the mood for The Blood of Olympus!
