tbh I’ve always really liked how Rick constantly mentions specific things about locations, esp places in NYC bc it makes you feel more connected to Percy and his love for the city. like I was rereading SoM and Percy was describing his school in TriBeCa and how he takes the 2 train there and then later when the gym explodes and there’s a hole in the wall, he specifically says its on the side on Church street idk why it gives me joy bc his descriptions are (almost) always correct and that he uses real street names instead of making stuff up
